Why I (Still) Do This...

I know that teaching English can transform lives.

Not just by raising grades or checking boxes, but by helping students discover confidence, clarity, and purpose — and by helping teachers reclaim their time, energy, and passion.

I’ve spent the last 17 years in the classroom, teaching over 2,500 students. I’ve lived the late nights, the marking piles, the “why isn’t this working?” moments. I’ve been through the struggles myself, and I’ve come out stronger — not because it was easy, but because I learned how to teach smarter, not harder.

What keeps me passionate after all these years is the same thing that drew me to teaching in the first place: knowing that, as teachers, we hold a student’s future in our hands.

A good teacher can change the trajectory of a young person’s life. I know, because other teachers changed mine.

That’s why I’m here — to transform students’ success and to support other teachers in the work that matters most.

A Community That Gets It

Teaching English is rewarding — but let’s be honest, it’s also exhausting.

The endless planning. The stacks of essays. The pressure to keep students engaged in the age of TikTok. The feeling that you’re doing it all on your own.

I know, because I’ve been there too.

That’s why I built a community for teachers. A place where you don’t have to do this in isolation. A space where you can save 20+ hours a month with classroom-tested resources, feel supported by people who “get it,” and grow as a teacher through practical PD that actually inspires.

Because teaching English shouldn’t burn you out — it should remind you why you became a teacher in the first place. And when you have the right support, strategies, and community, you can teach with confidence, spark engagement, and keep growing in your craft.

Tutoring That Gets Results...

If you’re a parent, you already know how stressful high school English can be.

University admissions are competitive, and English is mandatory all four years. Parents tell me all the time they worry their child won’t have the skills to keep up — or that their grades will stall just shy of where they need to be.

I get it. Students put in the effort but can’t seem to break past that 85% or 87% barrier. The essays pile up, the feedback isn’t clear, and nobody at home knows how to help.

That’s where I come in.

My tutoring is not about “someday results.” It’s about showing students the skills and strategies to get higher marks on their very next assignment.

I help motivated students squeeze out that last 2–5% to get them into the 90s — not just for the grade, but for the confidence that comes with knowing they can do it.
